Well, the deadline for our Mad Gab contest is over and we have our winners! We did record a video with us drawing all the names out of a hat. Unfortunately, the video was corrupted so we can't redo the drawing. We do have a picture though.

We're excited to announce that we have a new contest on the AIO Blog: Adventures in Odyssey Mad Gab! A couple years back, we did a similar contest. We're bringing it back again, but this time, we are going to be having some physical prizes.

What is Mad Gab?

Mad Gab is a game where you are give a phrase or sentence that contains seemingly meaningless words. But, when said together, sound like an actual phrase, name of a person, place, or thing. For example, "Fail la lair" when pronounced quickly sounds like "Phil Lollar."

How do I play?

We'll give you 10 phrases to decipher.

You need to try to figure out what each one is actually saying. It may be a title of an Odyssey episode, a character, or anything else AIO-related.

How do I enter?

Send us an email and tell what you think each sentence says. Do not post them on this post or anywhere else. Our email address is adventuresinodysseyblog[at]gmail.com. Make sure to put "Mad Gab" in the subject line. If you figure out some of the other phrases after you already sent your email, you can send us 1 more email with your final guesses. You will not be allowed any more guesses after that.

How will I win?

If you get 9 or less right, then you'll get 1 entry into a drawing. If you get all 10 of them right, you will get 2 entries. Once the deadline for the contest is over, we'll put all the entries into a hat and randomly draw out 3 names to be our winners. We'll also post the real answers for the sentences.

What will I win?

Tyndale House Publishers has been gracious to send us a couple of copies of the Our Favorites album.


This album contains 24 of the AIO actors' favorite episodes and the video of the live show from last year.
3 lucky people will win a copy! We will email the winners and the winners will give us their mailing address so we can send them their prizes.

It's been a long time since we've had a contest here at the blog. In the past, all the contests only had ToO dollars as prizes. Things are going to change, starting now!

How would you like to win a copy of the Blackgaard Chronicles? That's right. You, yes you, could win an album containing all the episodes in the Blackgaard Saga, a special half hour video interview with Phil Lollar and Paul McCusker, and some classic and new artwork of the series.


"How," you ask,"do I go about winning it?"

It's time to play detective! You need to find out the secret word that will make you a winner.


As you can see, some letters are missing. You need to find the missing letters. To do that, you need to go where this clue tells you to go.

Once you find the right place you'll find a letter to put into the clue bar above. On the same page, you'll find the next clue along with the next letter, and so on. Once you find all the letters, put them in the bar and then unscramble the letters. The letters that are already in place are in the right place. Just switch around the letters you found.

After you get the secret word, email it to us by using the form on our Contact page. Oh, and make sure to include the links where you found the letters. The first person to send in the secret word and the links will win the Blackgaard Chronicles! By the way, this contest is only open to residents of the continental United States.

At last the time has come. Fan entries for our new album art contest are in and now it's voting time!

Below are the 2 pictures that were sent in. Now you choose which one is your favorite and use the poll on the sidebar to tell us which one should be the AIO Blogcast's new album art. The entry with the most votes will be shown on Episode #11 and all future podcasts. The winner will receive 50 ToO dollars.

I had originally intended to have a new pic to release with our tenth episode but that didn't work out. So now I'm giving you a chance to change it yourself!
And that is this month's contest: make your own album art for the Blogcast.

What you have to do:

1. Create your own original album art for our podcast. Be as creative as possible, but make sure to include the words "AIO Blogcast" or "Adventures in Odyssey Blogcast" on your album art.
2. Send a 800 x 800 and 100 x 100 size of your art to austinpeachey@yahoo.com.
You may also upload your files on another site such as File Flyer and send me the link for it through my email.

Make sure to get your entries in before August 27th!

Edit: The date has been extended to September 16 so you can have more time to work on your project.

After all the entries have been collected, the photos will be posted on this site.
Then you and everyone one else who visits this blog, will vote on which one should be the Blogcast's new album art. The person who's photo with the most votes is the winner.

And what does the winner get?
The winner will receive 50 ToO dollars and the winner's album art will be shown on the first podcast of Season 2 of the AIO Blogcast and on every episode for all the world to see.
